From day one Garima showed such care and commitment to what I was going through. She was kind and informative and supportive. I was referred to the fertility clinic as I was about to undergo chemo therapy for my breast cancer. It was an extremely scary time in my life and I wouldn’t have been able to go through the fertility process without Garima. My partner and I were so pleased with the way we were cared for. I have nothing but wonderful and positive words to say about my experience. Garima offers guidance every step of the way.

After 5 years of trying to get pregnant through various ways, we were at the final embryo to try with... this lady used a different approach, different treatment protocols and drugs and it worked. It's still early days but to get to this stage is amazing. She listens and knows her stuff. I am very impressed and very thankful as I really thought this would never happen. I saw her privately.

My husband and I had been patients at the Homerton Fertility clinic for several months and were just about to start our first IVF cycle when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Plans changed and Dr Garima Srivastava was able to swiftly bring our appointment forward so we could begin the process of egg collection prior to starting chemotherapy. We'd seen several consultants over our time at Homerton with mixed experiences, but she was truly the most professional and kindest consultant through the whole process. She was so human, gentle, and patient, and gave us as much time as we needed to answer our questions. I had a very successful egg collection, and the whole experience was a brief moment of positivity in what has otherwise been a very dark time.

I came to UK in 2005 and completed a comprehensive speciality training programme of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and has the accreditation of the UK Specialist Training Authority. I was appointed as a consultant in 2015 at Homerton University Hospital NHS Trust after completing a fellowship in the fertility unit.

Training in both the parts of the world has given me understanding and respect for people from all the parts of the world.
.
My main areas of interest are to help couples who are finding it difficult to have a baby. I trained extensively in this area as I have discovered that I had a particular talent for this areas of medicine which needed sensitivity to understand what couples go through . I am known for my calm, sensitive and caring approach, which my patients find extremely reassuring.
I am committed to provide excellent evidence based services, to couples who are trying for a baby on all aspects of fertility. I am also a trainer for various aspects of assisted conception through British Fertility Society.

Clinical work has always been my primary interest, rather than academic research. However, I do recognise the importance of academia and am a keen facilitator to guide the fellows through numerous projects.
